Movimiento de Retiros Parroquiales Juan XXIII

About

It originated in Puerto Rico, in the Diocese of Arecibo, established during the pontificate of Pope John XXIII, to be “a movement of evangelization” and to work primarily with those alienated from the Church and marginalized from society.

The John XXIII Movement is not a self-serving movement, but rather seeks to be like leaven, a launching pad; it works not so much inwardly as outwardly. From its inception, this movement has gone out in search of the forgotten and the marginalized, not those already in the Church, but those furthest from the Father, those who, due to their circumstances, live in the anonymity of life, believing that the Gospel cannot be preached to them and that they need someone to evangelize them and proclaim Jesus Christ: the John XXIII Movement is for them.

To fulfill this Mission, the John XXIII Movement has its own mystique, a charism, a gift that the Lord has entrusted to it, a spirituality of authentic service, framed in Love, Dedication and Sacrifice and expressed in a life choice: “With Christ Everything, Without Christ Nothing”.
