Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

About

Assist the clergy in the distribution of Holy Communion during Mass and to the sick and homebound of our parish.

The following are requirements set forth by the Archdiocese of Hartford for Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion (EMHC’s):

  • Must be a registered, active member of the parish and in good standing with the Church.
  • Must have received Baptism, Confirmation, and Holy Eucharist.
  • If married, the marriage must be a valid, recognized wedding bond in the Roman Catholic Church.
  • Minimum age is typically 18 (or a senior in high school).
  • Candidates must attend a training session/workshop and be formally commissioned by the Pastor to serve in the parish.
